Nutrition Ninjas Meatball Fettuccine

This week for our family dinners the Nutrition Ninjas cooked homemade meatballs and fettuccine. The children were very excited to eat this weeks meal and to be able to share their skills with their families. We have had multiple requests for this delicious dinner recipe!

Ingredients

- 500g beef mince

- 250g sausage mince

- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs

- 2 teaspoons Italian herbs

- salt and pepper

- olive oil

- passata sauce

- 1 can diced tomatoes

- minced garlic

- brown onion

- 1 teaspoon Italian herbs

Method

Combine beef mince, sausage mince, breadcrumbs, 2 teaspoons Italian herbs, salt and pepper in a bowl and mix until well combined. Roll meatballs into balls and fry off lightly in oil until browned. Meanwhile dice the brown onion and cook lightly in olive oil with minced garlic until onion is clear. Add passata sauce, diced tomatoes and Italian herbs to onion mixture and simmer lightly. Once meatballs are browned add to sauce mixture and simmer until meatballs are cooked through. Serve with fettuccine and enjoy!
