Hand hygiene is a very effective method to support your health and wellbeing.
We regularly have opportunities for the children to participate in experiences to support them in developing skills to take responsibility for their own health and wellbeing. This includes yarning circle discussions, social stories, germ science experiments, hygiene displays in the room, and many more opportunities for learning.
You can have a read of our Service Policies and Procedures Manual in regards to Health, Hygiene and Wellbeing on the sign in Ipad at the Service. You can also support your child in developing these skills at home and when arriving at OSHC by encouraging them to wash their hands: •After toileting, handling of animals or other activities which could lead to the spread of infection; •After coughing, sneezing or blowing their nose; and • Before routines such as eating breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea and dinner
