Our intention is to build respectful and collaborative relationships with the school and wider community, strengthening the capacity of the service to support children and promote each child’s health and well-being.

Mental Health Support Networks

Parenting Support Services

Parenting can be one of the most challenging yet rewarding jobs in the world, and many parents are turning to parenting programs for support and guidance. Parenting programs provide resources and tools to help parents navigate the ups and downs of raising children whilst also support overall family wellbeing.

Triple P - Positive Parenting Program

The Triple P – Positive Parenting Program has been developed here in Australia and is now the world’s most widely researched parenting program with hundreds of clinical trials and real-world studies to back it up. From confidently handling a toddler meltdown, to learning how to control your emotions and deal with anger management, Triple P empowers you with a toolbox of strategies, skills, and knowledge. It can help you create a closer bond with your child as you support their learning, development, life skills and emotional wellbeing. Triple P can work for you too—and it’s online!

kyabra

Kyabra’s Group Work and Training team offers a range of programs that may help to enhance your parenting and have more fun with your children.

Each term, we offer a selection of parenting groups and Play and Grow play opportunities.

Our parenting groups and Play and Grow groups are offered on site at Kyabra Street Runcorn, onsite at Richlands Community Centre, onsite at Sunnybank and HUB community projects Inala, online via Zoom and at other venues in our local communities.

Kyabra’s Group Work and Training team are also actively involved in many community events, both family events and events for parents only. Local schools and cultural celebrations are amongst the family events that we support and offer our early years activities.

Early Start Australia

Support for school aged children to develop the skills they need to succeed in school and reach their full potential.

​

Their therapists can work with you to help your child develop the confidence and independence that your child may need prior to commencing school or during schooling transitions. Depending on your child's specific needs, they can develop individual programs that can focus on developing skills for managing everyday activities.
